New RPC task suggested by Davide
  • For each muon it is possible to check how many rpc rechits have been used in the fit
  • to study the number of RPC hits along the track
  • a piece of code that is able to count the number of rpc hits associated to the muon. You can find it in ~piccolo/public/perAnnaCimmino
  • the next step would be to propagate the track (global muon or standalone muon .. it is interesting to check which are the differences) and then check rpc hits at a given distance from the extrapolation (there are two ways to check this distance in (x,y) or (eta,phi))
  • The number of rechits found as a function of eta, phi, pt is indicative of the trigger capability of the system (at least 3/innermost 4 layers or 4/6 layers should be fired).
  • It could be useful to prepare some module that can easly be run to check these numbers. This part in principle exists but i'd like to organize it in such a way that can be run promptly at caf to give feedbacks about a given run.
