Noise rate vs. Time (discussed with Marcello)
  • make plot for "Noise rate vs. Lumi section" or "Noise rate vs. time"
     DAQ Time is in nanosecond

     unsigned long long int  (or)
     edmTimeValue_t   timeDAQ = iEvent.time().value();

     Trigger Time used in monitoring is in milli seconds

     timeval stv;
     unsigned long long kLowMask(0xFFFFFFFF);
     stv.tv_sec =  timeDAQ >> 32;       //  shift 32 bits to right...
     stv.tv_usec = (kLowMask & timeDAQ)/1000; // the first 32 bits I need to go from nsec to usec

     unsigned int timeTRG = stv.tv_sec*1000 + stv.tv_usec/1000; // this is number of milli seconds

     unsigned int timeUnix = stv.tv_sec // number of seconds..
  • check error-bar in my plot
  • make plot for "ReadoutErrors vs. time"
    • refer to /CMSSW/DataFormats/RPCDigi/src/RPCRawDataCounts.cc
        To get the container with errors..

        Handle<RPCRawDataCounts> rawCounts;
        iEvent.getByLabel (rawCountsLabel_, rawCounts);
        if(!rawCounts.isValid()) return;

        const RPCRawDataCounts  theCounts = (*rawCounts.product());

        where rawCountsLabel_ has to be seen on data...

        you need to include DataFormats/RPCDigi/interface/RPCRawDataCounts.h

        and look at the interface to understand what it cntains

        and Error*.h in the same area...
    • refer to plot in the following web page
         ssh cmsusr1
         go to cmsrc-trigger:190000/main/main/RateMonitor?runnumber=131065
