Z0 Acceptance Study
Motivation
- In order to get Acc*Eff_reco precisely, we should know the correct acceptance information.
- However, the current samples (such as embedded on hydjet) were generated flatly as the pt and eta, so it is not easy to get acceptance for the Z0 with the current samples.
- Using the Z0 generation with pp Z0 to dimuon channel, this would be good refference to understand Z0 acceptance in the HI collisions.
Z0 Acceptance study
1. Z0 sample in the pp collision
- pythia parameter : ZMM_cfi.py
- the filter and CM energy were modified for the HI Collision
- the Eta and Pt cut removed and the CM energy was changed into 2.76 TeV? : here
2. Z0 gen information
- Z0 pt, eta, rapidity distribution
- Muon pt, eta, rapidity from Z0
3. Comparing the Z0 pt vs rapidity and pt vs eta with some of cuts
4. Acceptance for Z0
- the condition of acceptance : considering geometrical limitation of CMS detector, the muon chamber is installed up to 2.4 eta. So the acceptance definition is the Z0s which the both muons coming from them were in the less than 2.4 of eta.
And the denominator should be the case that the Z0 rapidity is in the 2.4.
- Muon pt and eta when the both muons are in the 2.4 eta and Z0 pt and eta when the both muons are in the 2.4 eta
- Compare to Z0 pt when cut on eta or not and Compare to muon from Z0 pt when cut on eta or not
- Z0 ratio as a function of pt (both muons in the | Mu_eta | < 2.4) and Z0 ratio as a function of pt (|Z0 rapidity| < 2.4)
- Z0 Acceptance as a function of pt : (# of Z0, both mouns in the |Mu_eta| < 2.4)/(# of Z0, |Z0 y| < 2.4)
